However, the weight of a breast implant is determined by the volume of the filler, which can be silicon or saline.
Let us see an example to figure out what is weight difference between silicon and saline breast implants. If you have silicon breast implants, 1cc (cubic centimeters) of silicon is equal to approximately 0.0375 ounces. Therefore, to calculate the weight of silicon implants, you will have to take the total cc of both the implants and multiply it by 0.0375 ounces. This will give you the weight in ounces for silicon implants. Similarly for saline breast implants, take the total cc of both the breast implants and divide it by 29.574 to get the weight in ounces. When you do this calculation, you will see that the saline breast implants will minutely lighter than silicon breast implants. The reason for this is very simple. The silicone gel has a sticky fluid consistency as its viscosity is higher while saline is a lighter liquid and therefore, lighter in weight when you compare the weight difference between silicon and saline breast implants.
