There are a lot of people who believe that gold teeth are an indulgence that only the rich can afford as they have a lot of money and do not know how to spend it. There are still others who opine that people with gold teeth end up looking as though they are from the ghettos, or they are thugs and gang members. Therefore, in many people's mind this association is imprinted, and it is one opinion that they still hold.
Even employers have a negative opinion about gold teeth, and most of them will not be willing to hire new employees who sport visible gold teeth. While other employers may not be bothered, majority would associate gold teeth with gangs and ghettos, and will be uncomfortable to have a person like this working in their establishment.
So, on the whole, people's opinion about gold teeth is quite negative, and most of them do not respect a common man who sports gold teeth. Though, these same people are ready to make concessions for celebrities and famous personalities.
